Following a specific agency

If there's a government agency you want to monitor closely — a key customer, a target account, or an agency in your primary market — you can follow them in InstantMarkets to stay on top of everything they post.

How to follow an agency

  1. Click Agencies in the main navigation.
  2. Search for the agency by name or browse by state and type.
  3. Click the agency name to open their profile.
  4. Click the Follow button in the upper right of the profile page.

The agency now appears in your Following dashboard, and you'll be notified when they post new opportunities.

Following agencies requires a paid plan. See Free vs. paid features: what's included.

Your Following dashboard

Click Following in the sidebar to see a feed of recent activity from all agencies you follow. This includes:

  • Newly posted solicitations
  • Amendments to existing opportunities
  • Contract awards (where publicly disclosed)

Unfollowing an agency

  1. Go to Agencies and open the agency's profile.
  2. Click the Following button (it toggles to Unfollow on hover).
  3. Click to confirm.

Alternatively, go to your Following dashboard, find the agency, and click Unfollow from there.

How following differs from alerts

  • Following an agency shows you everything that agency posts, regardless of category.
  • Alerts are tied to saved searches and notify you about specific keywords or filters across all agencies.

Use following for agencies you want to monitor comprehensively; use alerts for categories you track across many agencies.
