How often is data updated?

InstantMarkets continuously monitors source portals and ingests new opportunities as they're posted. Here's what to expect in terms of freshness.

Active solicitations

New opportunities typically appear in InstantMarkets within a few hours of being posted at the source agency's portal. For most federal agencies (via SAM.gov) and large state portals, updates happen multiple times per day.

Amendments and modifications

When an agency amends a posted opportunity (extends the due date, issues an addendum, or updates the scope), InstantMarkets updates the listing to reflect the change. You'll see the most recent version of any listing.

If you have an alert for a search that matches the opportunity, you will not receive a new alert for amendments — alerts only fire for newly posted opportunities, not updates to existing ones. Check the source portal directly for amendment notifications.

Expired and closed opportunities

Opportunities that have passed their closing date are marked as Closed in search results. They remain searchable in InstantMarkets for historical reference but are filtered out of default search results. Use the Status filter and select Closed to include them.

If a listing seems out of date

If you notice an opportunity that appears to have been updated at the source but hasn't reflected the change in InstantMarkets, contact support with the opportunity title and source URL — we'll investigate and refresh it manually.
