The full list of covered agencies

InstantMarkets covers tens of thousands of government agencies and procurement entities across the United States. This article describes coverage by type and how to check whether a specific agency is included.

Federal agencies

All federal civilian and defense agencies that post opportunities to SAM.gov are covered, including but not limited to:

Department of Defense (DoD) and its branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, DARPA, etc.)
General Services Administration (GSA)
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Department of Transportation (DOT)
Department of Energy (DOE)
Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
NASA, EPA, USDA, and all other civilian cabinet and independent agencies

State agencies

All 50 states are covered. This includes state-level agencies such as departments of transportation, education, health, corrections, and general services, as well as state universities and colleges that procure through state systems.

Local agencies

Coverage includes thousands of county governments, cities, towns, and municipalities. Larger metro areas and counties tend to have more complete coverage due to higher posting volume and more standardized portals.

School districts

K-12 school districts across the country are covered, including those that post independently and those that procure through state cooperative purchasing programs.

Special districts

Coverage includes a wide range of special-purpose districts: water and wastewater utilities, transit authorities, port authorities, housing authorities, hospital districts, and more.

How to check if a specific agency is covered

Use the Agency search (click Agencies in the main navigation).
Search for the agency by name.
If the agency appears in results, it is covered.

If an agency you expect to see is missing, contact support — we actively expand coverage based on user requests.

Coverage gaps
