Setting up email notifications for new opportunities
How email notifications work in InstantMarkets and how to configure them so new opportunity alerts reach your inbox.
Setting up email notifications for new opportunities
InstantMarkets sends email notifications when new opportunities match your saved searches. Here's how to make sure your notifications are set up correctly.
How email notifications work
Every alert is tied to a saved search. When a new opportunity is posted that matches the search's keywords and filters, InstantMarkets queues a notification for you. Depending on your frequency setting, that notification arrives immediately, in a daily digest, or in a weekly digest.
Setting up notifications for the first time
- Create a saved search (see Saving a search for later).
- From My Searches, click Create Alert next to the search.
- Select your preferred notification frequency: Immediate, Daily digest, or Weekly digest.
- Confirm your notification email address — by default it uses the email on your account.
- Click Save Alert.
You'll receive a confirmation email when the alert is activated.
Changing the notification email address
By default, alerts are sent to your account email. To send them to a different address:
- Go to Account menu → Notification Preferences.
- Under Alert delivery email, enter the address you want to use.
- Click Save.
This applies to all alerts — you cannot set different delivery addresses per alert.
Checking that emails aren't going to spam
Alert emails come from notifications@instantmarkets.com. If you're not seeing them:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Add
notifications@instantmarkets.comto your contacts or safe senders list - Check with your IT team if your company email filters aggressively
